A collection of moments captured in Hooven Forest.

We welcome you to share your photos, videos, and stories with us at info@hoovenforest.org so we can post them here.

  • “Hooven forest is community place for everyone to share and enjoy, not just one person to own and enjoy. Plus it’s a home to many mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish. Five of the neighborhood kids use the forest trails almost every day to get to and from Wellington Elementary school. Taking away the forest and building a few homes for a few people will take away hundreds of homes of animals, take away the most fun and pretty way to school, and remove lots of enjoyable walking trails and biking trails for the community. Please protect our forest.”

  • "We love Hooven Forest because of its peaceful beauty! Having trails and forested lands near our home bring us calm and joy. We also relish the wildlife we see so much near our home, whether deer, squirrels, coyote, bobcats, bears, and more, we know that forested land plays an integral part of their survival. We’ve been here 8 years and know these lands and trails are important to many of our neighbors as well!"

  • "We live next to Hooven Forest, and it is the home of countless wildlife. We observe many deer coming into our yard from the forest almost daily, at all times of the year. We also see black bears trekking into and out of the forest, as the forest is their main residence. The forest is also home to bobcats and ravens. It also supplies water sources for all of these animals. Hooven Forest is an important wildlife habitat and green space that is close to more developed city areas, and it offers refuge for many species. Please continue to protect Hooven Forest!"
